Anyone For Pet And Baby Safe Christmas Ornaments?
Does anyone have babies or pets that seem to make placing breakable ornaments on the tree a daunting task??? Raise your hand. I see you. I have heard your dilemma on social media. Felt your concern. I have the best idea for pet and baby safe Christmas ornaments.
Here’s a solution that will help make your life easier.
It all started here with our first grand dog. Nina. The sweetest silky terrier ever. This will be our first Christmas without her.
That was the first year that I thought I might need a solution to the retrieval of breakables from our Christmas tree. The traditional and special ornaments stayed tucked away that year.
And it became a tradition to simply add more of these on the tree as littles–grands and great nieces and nephews and new grand dogs began appearing. A greater need for those pet and baby safe Christmas ornaments was in full demand.
These cardstock ones and plastic balls became the norm.
No concern if little hands tugged at ornaments from the tree. Baby safe.
No problem if little dogs tore one from the tree. Pet safe.
And if one was destroyed, the original copy safely remained in the computer to reproduce it again.
See what I mean???
You know what became amazing with these over the years? As I pulled them out, they grabbed my heart.
They were memories.
Moments captured from years gone by. As they began to be added each year, the date they were taken was added. That, my friends, is a priceless addition.
It’s like looking through old photo albums.
I added old photos of when we first married.
Photos of my boys growing up through the years.
Pictures of them as they married and began their own homes.
Moments captured with pets and babies and growing up and family expanding.
All of us love them. We spend time reviewing the family history through the years.
So here’s to the greatest idea ever….Pet and Baby Safe Christmas Ornaments…

What a fabulous idea, I absolutely love it! It would take be ages to decorate my tree if I had all those wonderful memories to get through but I think it’s worth it for the pure joy it would bring every year!

Oh, I love this!!! Seriously think I might try it this year. Little hands are a real thing around here. I am beyond grateful for them, but they make a tree tricky.

This turned out so well. I thought you hung picture frames at first! What a great idea

So easy! No frames to buy or break, friend!

What a fantastic idea! I would love to create a second Christmas tree just for this purpose. What a conversation piece too. Our solution when our dog started breaking ornaments was to leave the bottom portion of the tree bare, lol. I like your idea better!

Thank you, Allison! Yes! So much easier than concern over broken sentimental ornaments or breakable ones!
