A New Thanksgiving Sweet Potatoes Gratin Recipe

Are you a lover of sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving? There are so many years of favorite sweet potato recipes for us during the years. There have been mashed sweet potatoes with miniature marshmallows browned on top. My husband’s grandmother always brought the BEST candied sweet potatoes to Thanksgiving dinner. There have been casseroles with pecans and strudel toppings, whole baked sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar, and even roasted ones. But this sweet potatoes gratin recipe is my new favorite.

This was a savory addition to the Thanksgiving table.

Peeled, sliced and arranged in a circular format brought the whole dish to a new culinary level.

Savory Sweet Potatoes Gratin Recipe is the new winner.

My niece is the curator and creator of this recipe. She is the BEST cook. Her expertise and attempts at baking and new recipes astound me.

She’s one of those who take a nudge from the British Baking Show and creates whatever they are attempting with perfection.

She found a recipe and then tweaked it to make it her own and oh, how appreciative we all were to have it on the Thanksgiving table!

  • She began with peeling and slicing those sweet potatoes thinly.
  • Next, she added an infused rosemary, garlic, cream and sage butter mixture to the top.
  • The last step was sprinkling it all with Parmesan cheese before the baking.

So, here’s the recipe for all of you to give a try and add to your Thanksgiving table.
