How About the BEST Butter Pecan Cake Recipe?
Who needs a fast, easy and delicious butter pecan cake recipe?
Many years ago a dear friend shared this recipe with me…and her comment when she shared it with me was–” it was wonderful with fresh whipped cream and a cup of coffee”.
She was so right.
Many of these cakes have been baked and shared with many whose feet were under my table and then other occasions that took this recipe to other homes for celebrations of life or loss.
There are just times when others need cake.
Perhaps at good times for birthdays, weddings and parties…and then other times when families or friends gather and cake just needs to be there.
This week a dear friend needed cake and I knew that this cake would be the one to bring cheer to family who gathered in her home.
This recipe is the easiest and delicious.
It’s a dense and decadent one that is just perfect with conversation together with feet under a table.
A great offering for a book club like my friend, Kim, shares. I think her ideas about starting a book club sound perfect. Anyone want to join me?…let me know in the comments!
But back to this great cake recipe…Seriously, only 5 ingredients and a 2 minute mix in the mixer.
The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for the 55 minutes for it to come out of the oven!
Here’s the Best Butter Pecan Cake recipe ever.

Notes
Perhaps, the secret ingredient?
I would have to say it would be the frosting added into the cake. Even those who aren’t coconut or pecan lovers will love this one.
Just some fresh whipped cream…or even easier a dollop of a whipped cream spray makes this even more decadent.
This is a perfect dessert for a morning or afternoon coffee time or after dinner. I’m not sure that my husband would refuse it any time.
It’s just that good!
May this butter pecan cake bring you much joy each time you make and share it! Enjoy, friends!

I hope that you love it! I just made another for my husband because he begged! just a heads up! I think perhaps they are packaging less cake mix in the box so I reduced the oil to 3/4 C and it was perfect. Have updated the recipe here, too. Hope you love it. I can’t wait to take your tips and start a book club this winter. I need more feet under my table!

What is the ounces of the cake mix? The last time I made it. It never got completely done. I think the cake mix is smaller.
I love this cake.

Pansy- you are so right! I have meant to update this recipe as the cake mix sizes continue to shrink. In looking up how to resolve this issue, there is a 3 oz. difference in cake mixes now that changes the results. Some people say to make up those lost 3 ounces with cake mix from another box of cake mix OR plain flour. I haven’t tried this yet, but I hope it will help. We just had this cake at a family brunch and it was inhaled. Always so loved!

You know, I think it was BW that had this leftover cake eatened before we got to the stoplight after leaving your house! Simply devoured it! One of his favorites! Thank you for sharing this amazing mouth watering delicious recipe!

Yes! I think he is one of those who love it–cake mix and all! There’s some in the cake stand now if he needs a “fix”–and not one of the family kind! ha!

This cake was so good. I did put a lightly sweet cream cheese frosting on it. I followed the recipe and after 10 minutes of cooling it slid right out of the pan. I took it to a family dinner and had no leftovers. It’s a keeper.

Ooh, cream cheese frosting makes everything better! Yay!
