Italian Breaded Lemon Cod
A breaded cod fillet pan fried in butter, onion, garlic and lemon. Perfect flavor. Ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

pieces
cod, boneless skinless filets
I used individually wrapped frozen cod filets
1
large
egg, whisked
1/4
C
Italian bread crumbs
gluten free, optional
1
large
lemon, sliced thinly
2
cloves
garlic, minced

T
butter
1/4
C
onion, minced
salt and pepper to taste
fresh parsley for garnish if you like
Instructions
Add the egg to a bowl and whisk.
Pour bread crumbs into another bowl.
Add butter, minced onion, lemon slices, and garlic to a large skillet and saute.
Dip each cod filet into egg and then into bread crumbs, coating all sides.
Place coated cod into hot skillet and brown on both sides, being careful to turn to keep bread coating on.
Season with a sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste.
When fish has cooked completely, serve with your favorite side and enjoy!
***Feel free to top with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if you like.
