Cover one firebrick with cotton fabric to fit the top.
Arrange flowers on the brick and cover with another piece of cotton fabric.
Top with another fire brick.
Place the firebrick on microwave turntable.
Microwave for one minute to begin with and adjust the time for different flowers. ***I found that most of my flowers could only handle 1-1.5 minutes before browning, which I didn't want. Each type of flower is different and white ones require the least amount of time.
Remove flowers and lay onto a piece of parchment paper to cool.
When cool, add them to a clear glass pressed flower frame.
NOTE: I found that the continual heating of the fire bricks made it difficult to handle or be safe for flowers after a few times; so, cooling off in between drying sessions was necessary...or changing them out with a different set of fire bricks would help.
Notes
This method of drying/pressing flowers is genius! The colors are vibrant and pressing for adding to frames perfect!A great idea to save memorable flowers and decorate your home or give as gifts.
