Table Talk – Time for Inspiration
It’s time for a bit of table talk, reflection and inspiration with all that’s been on the web this week!
If you missed joining me this week, I shared some great tips for making family movie night the best. You can read it here if you missed it.
The big news this week was sharing the beginning of the next remodeling project with the master bathroom. Long overdue, we are participating in the One Room Challenge that’s just simply a group to cheer you on with finishing a long overdue project. You can read more about it here.
Spring Inspiration…
I don’t know how the weather is in your neck of the woods, but we are a full month ahead of schedule when it comes to the garden.
Dogwoods are in full showcase…snowball bush is blooming… peonies are budding… hostas, mint and lemon balm are filling landscapes and planters…and Sweet William is already showcasing blooms. Crazy!
Can I tell you that with all of the rain lately, the lawns and trees are green and I had to mow this week? Again, unusual.

Easter inspiration…
With tomorrow being Easter, if you need a bit more inspiration for table settings or menus, let me help…
- More ideas for a beautiful table setting. I love her table scarf.
- Easter cards that you can make today and have ready to give tomorrow.
- A beautiful table runner that you can make and use all summer.
- How about Easter mini donuts for the littles in your life?
If you love chocolate, you will love my friend, Elizabeth’s, take on an Easter tablescape.
Now, if you are hosting a brunch and still haven’t finalized all of your menu ideas, I can help you out here.
DIY inspiration…
This week has been filled with fun with creating this fairy garden pot at the Horticulture Extension office class. Always free…always fun! Check out what’s being offered in your community.
The extension office provided all that was needed– a pot, potting soil, 3 tiny plants, gravel, moss and figurines. Took me 5 minutes! The littles will love it.
Table Talk…
We had an amazing day with friends in Franklin this week. The most precious moments with feet under their table for wonderful food and conversation. I hope that you have many moments with feet gathered under a table this weekend.
Treasure each and every moment.
As we talked and lingered, a call came in that I had lost a lifetime sweet friend. Never prepared for those moments when friends or family members leave us. She was so loved and will be so missed.
As we began Easter week, it was filled here with much joy, then sorrow and reflection.
Thankful for Good Friday for what was done on that cross and for Easter morning that reminds us all that He left to prepare a place for us. A celebration like no other.
Now, if you need a bit of inspiration and encouragement of answered prayers and miracles, sharing this story by one of my favorite people. You can read it here.
May this weekend you reflect on your faith, family and friendships. I am grateful for all.
Know that your visits here are truly loved, valued and appreciated.
Happy Easter, friends.
Before you leave…Your opinion matters:
Would you let me know in the comments your thoughts on if you’d like to receive just one email a week…or if you’d still love getting an email each time I post?
Thank you in advance for responding!

I know you’ll be glad when the redo is finished. You’ll have an almost completely new house! That’s exciting!

It’s sheetrock hanging and finishing right now…and perhaps redoing the ceiling in between sheetrock mudding/sanding. Wallpaper may arrive early today! YAY! Then I can finalize paint colors and accessories!
