Happy Saturday! A Week in Review
Happy Saturday! We made it to Saturday! Sharing all of my favorite finds during this week in review.
I’m not sure if your Saturdays are a day to relax and rest? or if you are on the course of accomplishment of all that didn’t get done this week? or preparation for the week to come…I get it.
As we enter a new school year of new routines, schedules, bedtimes and even how the school buses now affect your morning commute…pivoting through all of it can be challenging.
This week in my memories, I was reminded of a post I shared about ways to begin a great new school year. If you or someone you know needs a reminder to begin the year off on a good start…this mama and teacher’s heart might have some ideas you may not have thought of using. Click here to read more.
Lately on the blog…
Recently on the blog I shared a new way to roast tomatoes to create the most delicious sauce to use or add to your freezer. This sauce will be welcomed during those winter months for pizza, pasta and bruschetta. With tomatoes coming in rapidly, I’m making more of this sauce today.
You can find the recipe here.

On Tuesday, I shared an easy 3 ingredient Peach Jam recipe that is a family favorite. If you are a jam lover and can, all of the peaches that are in season may be calling you! Here’s the recipe in case you missed it.
This week has been a week of the summer yard work. Pulling weeds, harvesting coriander seeds, mowing the lawn and weedeating.
My husband found the BEST addition to the weedeater than you can imagine. A new handle for the weedeater that makes standing up possible when weedeating. We are in love with it. Just click on the photo to shop.
http://My garden seems to be winding down…basil, oregano, and chives wanting to already go to seed. So, pesto will need to be made soon.
Also this week?
A new Vue magazine is on newstands and online. You can read it here if you don’t live locally.
This month I am sharing a great ice cream recipe and grilled chicken salad that are BOTH some of my new favorites.
You can find the recipes for both here.
We all need new adventures in our life…right? This week I shared another great visit to Adsmore Museum for a Victorian wedding that made me feel I was there for the event. If you missed it? you can click here to catch up on all of the fun.

What’s on your agenda this weekend?
We are off to tour the St. Jude’s Dream Home this weekend. Always a beautiful fundraiser to support. If you’d like to see the last two local St. Jude’s Dream Homes, click here

I’ll be sharing the 2024 home soon. Be watching for it!
After the home tour, we are off to the Sugar Creek Flower Festival. Besides flower cuttings, there will be over 40 vendors, food trucks, live music, and more family fun activities from 10-4.
Maybe I’ll see a few of you there!
Happy Weekend, friends. I am so thankful that you joined me here.
