Perhaps this time of year…late in the season…your ferns may have just been too dry to work. I am so very sorry that you didn’t have good luck with it. You might try spraying with an aerosol adhesive on the back, positioning the fern and then layering with the modge podge to seal it. Hopefully that will work. Let me know if it does, won’t you.

The wax paper never melted onto the fern. The fern just became brown and brittle. It was a bust for me!
Any suggestions on how I can get the wax paper to melt? I used the wax paper you did. Had my iron on the cotton setting with no steam. Fern was between two pieces of wax paper and craft paper below and on top. So disappointed! Bought several canvases for the project.

Good morning, Becky. Mine have begun to change from the vibrant green to more of a brownish green over the past year. Even with that, I am still enjoying them. I think for mine, they may have needed more modge podge, so you might give that a try. My ferns are gorgeous right now and I think another project will be happening soon with them. Happy crafting!
