A Beautiful Guide to Wedding Planning

Are you planning a wedding? Is someone you know planning a wedding? I have the gift for you. I have a friend who has just created the most perfect book that will make a beautiful keepsake to keep everything in one spot…Our Wedding Planner by Alda Ellis.

When that wedding planner copy arrived in the mail, it took my breath away.

The photography, breathtaking. The venues depicted were stunning.

Each chapter in this beautiful book is thought provoking and filled with so many carefully presented tools in planning.

Do you know where she begins? With the inspiration for the day.

Your style.

A wedding story that you create.

The mood inspiration for the wedding day.

So many practical considerations to launch and focus your planning.

I love that she began the next chapter with the budget. So much great information to keep you on track.

A detailed calendar follows so that you are thinking of every detail to cover in advance.

Even the guest list has great tips to keep you focused on what’s important in the planning process.

Lots of information about how to select your venue, flowers, and even answer your questions before you select a photographer and videographer. Staying focused on your inspiration and carrying that view of what you want all the way through the selection process is what this wedding planner does beautifully.

Each page in this wedding planner is beautifully curated to inspire.

If only I had had this planner when I was in the middle of sooooo many weddings that I have helped plan in my life to use and help guide brides or give to someone special preparing for a wedding.

As this planner moves through the ceremony thoughts and reminders for planning the reception, it doesn’t disappoint. Nothing is left off of that order of events. Even to how to delegate things to make that day go smoothly.

You know what I loved about the way this gorgeous book was written?

The wedding party and the stationery was at the end of the book. Brilliant!

That is truly backwards from the way we approach wedding planning, Right? But, it made so much sense to me.

Create that day that suits the personality for both the bride and groom. Indulge yourself in planning in the order Alda shares in this planner.

Doesn’t it make sense to look at what both of you want first? To identify the budget so that as you begin to fill in the blanks, you know where you are to fit within budgetary confines.

I love that the wedding dress selection is in the section with the wedding party and attendants.

So many great suggestions fill these pages.

There were so many great ideas in that stationery chapter. Everything from invitations to programs to reception cards and even ways to say thank you or a tribute to those who have passed away.

That last chapter in this planner covers final thoughts. Planning for rehearsal dinners, honeymoon, thank you notes, welcome baskets for out of town guests. Sweet suggestions are just in abundance.

As we enter a new time where wedding planning is opening up from a year of closure, I think every family and couple in wedding planning mode will love this book.

Whether planning an intimate gathering or a larger setting with more involved, this book would make a perfect engagement gift for those announcing they ready to plan their wedding.

Journaling is so much a part of many of our lives today. This wedding planner makes the perfect spot for that. Handwritten notes to fill in and even write in the borders so that it’s a perfect keepsake for years to come. Better than the wedding planning book from my days.

You might just order a few for future gifts. I’ll be doing that myself. And then when the wedding arrives? I’ll feel that I have helped those sweet friends to make a memorable celebration.

If you’d love to follow my friend Alda, you may find her at Magnolia Hill. A southern historic venue…such beauty for celebrations. Swooning over here at her location…just take a peek…it won’t disappoint! I’d love to have a celebration there, wouldn’t you?!!!

Happy June, friends! I’m sure there are many like me who are celebrating anniversaries! If so, Happy Anniversary!
