5 of the BEST Christmas Gift Recipes
Do you love to make your favorite Christmas recipes to give as gifts? If you send filled tins and jars to neighbors and friends…you have come to the right place today.
One of my most favorite things to do is give some of our favorite recipes at Christmas. Christmas cookies, Christmas candy and even savory snack mix are all made and gifted during the holidays.
Some are tradition for the same recipe to the same friends. Others are favorite Christmas recipes that just seem to overflow in serving and going home with others.
If you need ideas for gifting, I’m your friend.
So…here goes…
My favorite Christmas recipes to give as gifts.
1. Confections
This is a recipe that was given to me by my sister in law decades ago. The first memory of this one was a gift in a jar with a perfectly counted cross stitch design on the lid. It was love at first sight AND bite!
There has never been a Christmas without this favorite being made.
It’s a white chocolate peanut butter and marshmallow candy that everyone loves.
You can find this recipe in this month’s issue of the Vue magazine here.
2. Nuts and Bolts
This recipe can be found here and here.
A family favorite that has been made and enjoyed every Christmas since I have been part of the Watkins family.
Feel free to make it gluten free by using gluten free pretzels. If you have those with peanut allergies, just add mixed nuts without the peanuts.
3. Molasses Cookies
This is our new favorite Christmas cookie recipe. Our daughter in law brought this to our home the first Christmas with us. Now it’s a treasured tradition with our family, too. You can find the recipe for this delicious Christmas recipe here.
We simply can never get enough of this one! Hope you’ll give it a try.
4. Scottish Shortbread
This buttery cookie gives Walker’s Shortbread some competition. So easy to make and loved by everyone.
Adding this Christmas recipe to a tin to have when guests drop by for coffee,, cocoa or hot tea is a perfect combination.
5. Tiny Gingerbread Houses
We truly began a tradition with this Christmas recipe last year. Baking begins with family gathered to make these cute tiny gingerbread houses again this week.
Not only are they loved to eat with hot chocolate…decorating your Christmas table or tree with this favorite Christmas recipe will capture your heart.
TIP: This gingerbread recipe keeps and I am using some I created last year for decorations this year. Won’t be eating those…but…love that they are still beautiful to use for Christmas decorating. If you plan to store them…just keep them in a dry place. Mine were tucked into the back of a buffet in a plastic container.
Here’s the recipe for this Christmas gingerbread house recipe.
What are your favorite Christmas gift recipes?
Now I’d love to know what your favorite recipes to make and gift are in the comments. Christmas cookie recipes…Christmas candy recipes…gingerbread houses…snack mixes?
Baking is happening here this week with tins and jars that will be overflowing from my kitchen to bring a bit of Christmas joy to others.
There will be littles making cookies and those tiny gingerbread houses, too.
Hope there’s a bit of baking going on in your kitchen. If you haven’t given it a try, perhaps this year is the time to begin.
Happy Baking and gifting!

My favorite gift items are chocolate and peanut butter fudge–and of course, pumpkin bread. But Nuts and Bolts and Confections may be added this year since I won’t be able to sit under your table and indulge from your stash this year!

Oh, just come on home! Then you won’t have to make them. I may start crying thinking of you not being home.

I love all these options! My mother used to make molasses cookies every year for Christmas. Your gingerbread houses are adorable! Could definitely see one of those on my teacups! Thanks for sharing, friend! ❤️

Thank you, Kim. The molasses cookies are truly our favorite. Can’t have Christmas without them. Those tiny houses will be made again this year. Adding a new gingerbread project on Monday that I’ll share next week. Can I give you a hint that it may have stained glass windows?! Happy Christmas baking!
