5 Easy Ways to Repurpose Easter Garlands

Are you all about gathering Easter decorations for your table? Recently, I ran across these three Easter garlands that inspired me. Why not repurpose those Easter garlands for cute and economical Easter entertaining and place settings? Right?

Usually those garlands are decorating mantels.

Why not bring them into the dining area and use them to decorate buffets or hutches, right?

Our Easter table will have lots of little feet under it this year, so bunnies and a bit off whimsy will bring joy to those seated there.

So…my wheels were turning on how to repurpose the three garlands that found their way into my shopping cart…

All of these garlands were connected with twine and each had so many bunnies (and carrots) that my wheels begin turning on how to repurpose them.

So here are some easy ways to repurpose those Easter garlands in new ways.

1. A Buffet Easter Garland Decoration

Now…I know there are those of you who are hanging those cute garlands beneath your mantels…or somewhere else for spring decorating.

But, for me?

Simply adding them to the buffet began the table decorating. Now you may have done this, but beginning here was a way to tie in with my table decorations.

Just find the center of your buffet and the center of your Easter garland…and begin hanging…for me it was easy with the doors.

2. Adorable Easter Napkin Rings

This was an easy one.

Simply cut the garland apart, wrap the twine and tie in the back of the napkin. Isn’t that the cutest?

This was so fun!

If you need more twine, simple snip the existing garland twine off and hot glue the appropriate length that allows you the length for tying around the napkin.

Look at how adorable these napkin rings are from that Easter garland?

3. Easter Plate Decorations

If you’d rather remove things from the garland and decorate the place setting in the center, it makes for a perfect plate decoration.

Aren’t they cute?

4. Easter Silverware Bundles

If you aren’t planning a formal table setting, here’s another option.

Why not add these cute cutlery couture silverware holders on top of your napkin and wrap them with the garland bunnies.

No worries if you don’t have the silverware holders, just fold your napkin up to make a pocket to insert the silverware and top with the bunny before wrapping around the twine to secure.

If you need more twine to make the wrap, simply hot glue the length of twine you need behind the bunny and wrap them around.

A bow of sheer ribbon just added more festivity.

Then place the wrapped silverware in a cute Easter Basket for serving!

5. Easter Place Card Holders/Menu Labels

You know those cute terra cotta place card holders that I shared with you?

Well, how about adding garland decorations into your place card holder? or in the middle of your serving buffet as menu labels?

Another way to tie all of your Easter table decorations together.

This bunny garland was found at Hobby Lobby and each bunny was a different color and pose. They will be perfect for a buffet swag, napkin rings, silverware place settings or menu cards.

Don’t you think?

Hope you love the simplicity of this project as you prepare for Easter gathering this week.

My problem? Now I have way too many choices on which garland to choose.

You might begin gathering your dishes, napkins, glasses, and chargers and take a photo before you head out to find the perfect garland to create cute place settings for Easter.

From $5 to $12, these were a great and economical solution to finishing the table in a cute and whimsical way…

Maybe those garlands are on clearance by now…you might need more for Easter table settings to come!

If you can’t find them on clearance…I found some adorable bunny garlands on line that might just come in time to set your table this weekend.

You know me, I’m all about the bunnies!

Happy Easter, friends!
