In reply to Martha+Wallace. There must be something unAmerican about not liking dumplings, right? That using the broth was a little nod to you and I make them that way often. Gary still hasn't had enough of them and I have made them twice since the kitchen has been open!

In reply to Renae. The boys want chicken and dumplings fairly often. That requires gluten free but you know they turn out pretty good just using the broth itself and Bob's Red Mill 1+1 flour. No celery allowed so we add a little Mrs. Miller's chicken bouillon (Gabriel safe), parsley, pepper, onion & garlic powder. Who doesn't love dumplings except BW and Josh? The rest of us do! Yummy!
