The BEST- Nashville Antique and Garden Show
Each year there’s a date added to my calendar. Added in INK is the Nashville Antique and Garden Show. It’s always my favorite way to begin the new year.
Each year is themed with incredible vendors, gardens created and a host of speakers and their latest book releases all for your perusal.
I’m not sure what year I began going. But, it is simply one of my favorite things to do each and every year.
Some years my husband has accompanied me.
Other years, I have had the pleasure of friends joining me.
Then there are years, like last year, when I made the trek alone. I’m fine with that.
If alone, I can tour at my leisure with no one else’s time schedule leaving me in their wake or them in mine. Adding friends to the tour always allows for more conversation and more eyes finding all the details that I may miss.
I’ll take either!
Do you need friends for these events? or are you a solo traveler?
Previous Nashville Antique and Garden Shows…
have offered the most amazing garden spaces.
from beautiful glass greenhouses…
to wonderful garden storage.
Last year’s Nashville Antique and Garden show featured Martha Stewart’s chicken coops…
I think the coops were gifted last year. Wouldn’t you have loved to been the recipient?
Beautiful structures inside and out.
Home Garden Inspiration…
Waterfalls …
to beautiul garden statues and planters…
Always plants to purchase…
Home Styling and Entertaining is always amazing.
But, for me?
It’s the inspiration that brings me joy. Brightens my spirits. Lifts my mood.
A showcase full of life and beauty. At a time when both are needed.
A few favorite linens and plants or planters may end up making their way back home with me.
Sweet statues and planters with the most unusual settings I will have a hard time leaving behind.
But, I love the conversation with vendors.
Learning their location, inspiration and their wares always intrigues me.
From the gardening atmosphere to indoor vignettes and treasures, it’s breathtaking.
Even if for only a few hours, the immersion into growing gardens, antiques, and garden structures fill my heart with so much joy.
Perfect timing with cold and dreary weather this time of year.
If you are close enough to make the trip, please do.
This year’s show runs Thursday, January 11- Sunday, January 14.
This year’s theme is titled, “Beautiful”. I’m sure it will be.
Here’s the link if you’d like to know more….click here.
Besides the beautiful gardens, structures and vendors, there are lots of speakers with book signings.
Ina Garten will be featured this year for event sponsors.
Year before last? Martha Stewart was a guest speaker.
Since I usually make the trip in one day, I’ll probably skip the speakers and immerse myself in the gardens and vendor areas.
Will you be there this year at the Nashville Antique and Garden show???
Will I see you there to join in on the festivities? I’d love to know in the comments if you’ll be joining me.
