How wonderful to have kids closer to spend time with…and any meal shared at church wins in my book! I just roasted more tomatoes for sauce yesterday. I think next year I may have to can it we love it so much!

The hummingbirds are definitely few and far between…just wondering if a new crew is traveling south and making a stop along the way. We were out of town when the zinnias needed webbing added for support so they are beginning to lay down. Can’t wait to try that cake, friend!

I just saw a hummingbird this morning! I think they will be here for a few more weeks until it gets a little colder.
My zinnias did terribel this year, honestly they were not in a good place so I will have to try again next year.

Our BBQ was at church before a presentation on the Shroud of Turin. Lots of sports to watch and going down to our son’s and family’s home for the youngest’s 5th birthday. All our kids were therer minus the one who lives in NYC. We are still eating lots of tomato dishes!
