It’s Strawberry Season With a Great Salad Recipe
I love strawberry season and my friends at Hayco Farms have their market open! I was so excited to get my first pint of locally grown strawberries today that it called for a great salad recipe. Anybody ready?
Truly so easy. Quick and delish!
Now if you want to make it easy, you can simply top with your favorite dressing; but, I have included a quick and easy dressing that is the perfect compliment to the baby spinach and fresh strawberries.
I also toasted some pine nuts in a dry skillet and added those to the top.
Yum!
Strawberry Spinach Salad
Ingredients
- Baby spinach leaves Washed
- Strawberries, washed/sliced
- Pine nuts, toasted

- 2 T vinegar you choose- I had rice wine and used that.

- 1 green onion, sliced
- 1/2 t. Worcestershire sauce

- 1/4 t. black pepper freshly ground

Notes
I am all about a great salad that takes advantage of what’s in season. I’ll be adding more as the harvest of great vegetables and fruit begin to appear.
Enjoy all of the bounty of spring. Look for new ways to prepare and serve and enjoy produce! A new salad is always a win as we launch into spring.
I’m trying new things so be watching for new recipes and from more spring bounty! Getting pretty excited. Now, if those freeze warnings would just stop!
What spring recipes are you creating? Salads recipes that are keepers? Recipes that showcase strawberries?
Do you have old favorites that add comfort to your menu this time of year?? I’d love to hear from you!

Love, love this salad, but the homemade dressing is what makes it! I use walnuts instead of pine nuts. Strawberry farms are all around us and we’ve had them for over a month. Hope the snow doesn’t hurt yours!

I know! Hoping the cold weather won’t hurt them!!
