Beautiful 2024 Nashville Antiques & Garden Show
Drum roll! Since the 2024 Nashville Antiques and Garden Show, I’ve been reviewing my experience. What I love is that each year is entirely different and the theme is always carried out beautifully. If you are a garden lover or a collector of fine antiques, this show is the one for you!
I shared earlier about previous years here…but, today is the 2024 reveal!
With freezing temperatures to snow to rain and dreary weather the past few weeks, this show was a breath of spring that was so very much needed.
Perhaps you are like me and need a bit of beauty and life.
What makes the Nashville Antiques and Garden Show different?
I think that it’s the beauty in the middle of winter.
Maybe it’s the success of attempting to carry out each year’s theme to excellence.
Could it be the connecting with my favorite vendors each year?
The depth and expanse of vendors and gardening always amazes me.
This year’s theme?
“Beautiful”.
Perfectly named and executed.
From the beautiful programs to their interpretation of the theme, it met up to expectations.
The entrance boasted beautiful butterflies.
Can you tell I’m in my happy place?!!
From the entrance of the show…
There were 10,000 tulips planted in opposite rectangles with a tree added to the center. Stone edging held in the raised beds.
The tulips were grown in Orlando and transported to Nashville for the event. Their next destinations after the event? To charities in the community. What a sweet surprise for those recipients!
The blue painted trees, set in the middle of each setting of tulips, were covered with faux blossoms and paper butterflies that gave a beautiful illusion of spring.
An expanse of peace lilies flanked the tulips followed by a corridor of yews that separated two more beautiful rectangles.
The yews will make their way to Cheekwood Gardens for planting after this year’s show.
Next, behind those yews???
Behind the yews followed a vast rectangle of the most beautiful purple hyacinths filling the room with their aroma.
The left side of the garden flipped the flowers so that the rectangles appeared different on both sides as you walked through the center.
But, a garden surprise was found in the middle.
A sidewalk between the four rectangles was the perfect spot for a garden party. At both entrances of the “table” were waterfalls between beautifully set place settings and a row of florals table design flanking both sides of the sidewalk.
The table held elegant floral china and crystal place settings with pink napkins overhanging the stone table. A beautiful centerpiece of both fresh and faux flowers completed the garden theme. Faux boxwood flanked walls beneath each stone table.
Isn’t it the loveliest?
As I moved through the perimeter of the show, round skirted bar tables flanked the corridors between the vendors and garden spaces.
Each table had its own fresh floral design that continued the beautiful theme throughout the show.
So. lovely.
All of the vases had a similar shape and flowers…but each was exquisite.
Every year there are greenhouses.
This year did not disappoint.
One greenhouse actually held butterflies where guests could enter and experience them. The garden design outside brought in more of a natural and organic feel.
It was difficult to share the butterflies from the outside, but I loved that the butterflies were carried throughout the show from the beginning, show graphics, to the china, and on to the butterfly house.
Perfect.
The next greenhouse had the most beautiful table setting on the table inside. I think all of us touring were swooning.
See the garden bench on one side of the table?
Isn’t it inviting?
The landscapes surrounding garden structures and greenhouses were stunning…
From landscaping ideas, beautiful potted plants and garden structures…
there is always so much to take in.
Garden gates, pots and lawns were carefully curated.
Perhaps my favorite part are the vendors:
Plants always have to be purchased from my friends from Switzerland.
This year I brought home several ferns and these tiny potted plants. They bring me so much joy on my kitchen window sill..
This vendor always brings me joy…can you see why?
Vendors have an amazing way of mixing the antiques with the garden.
This year I found myself at my favorite french linen spot, La Cigale, where a lavender table runner made its way home with me.
They specialize in 100% cotton tablecloths that are coated with acrylic to protect agains stains, spills and fading. Their products are created with designers, weave mills, print mills and family sewing shops in France and Spain…they are passing down the rich heritage of textile production for centuries.
Their family-run sewing shop in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania can provide you with custom-sized tablecloths.
You can shop with them online by clicking here to see their beautiful products.
One of my very favorites this year was the copper vendor, Brocante French Antiques.
They have locations in Lake Charles, LA, and in Round Top, TX.
Shows where they share their showcases include one in Round Top, Texas–the White Barn at the Compound Antique Show and the Nashville, TN Antiques and Garden Show each year.
If you are close by, please drop by and see their French copper and antiques and hear their story. It was a delight to meet and shop with them.
The featured photo is one of Brocante’s wares.
These planters are created for them in France….aren’t they stunning?
So many other vendors captured me with their wares. From planters…
To the sweetest garden statues and inspiration.
Photos of this show don’t quite do it justice.
There were 100 year old European antique birds that sang to each other…
The most amazing antiques to add to your decor.
The surprise nod this year was to silver.
Lots of silver pieces in so many places and uses were showcased throughout the show.
Time to pull out those things that haven’t been polished in a while!
And among the silver pieces?
This centerpiece. With grapefruit, citrus, roses and greenery, it was beautiful.
The vendor had a great line of wreath topiary holders to create beautiful centerpieces and topiaries.
So unexpected and delightful!
Last, but not least, came some DIY inspiration.
Everywhere were these beautiful concrete planters that I’ll have to create and share with you when the weather warms here a bit.
Do you see the $650 price tag? Yeah…I think I can recreate something for less…be watching!
I can’t wait until next year!
Go ahead and mark your calendars and join me, won’t you?
So, thanks, friends, for joining me for the 2024 Nashville Antiques and Garden Show.
I’m taking in all of the inspiration for my home and garden.
Adding life and beauty in from my purchases…and a lift of spirits from all my photos.
May I suggest that you look for a few green plants and beauty to add in small touches to your home?
I promise it will brighten your spirits and bring joy!
Thanks, again so very much for joining me,
